Learning to clap

Is easy!  Carter is showing his dad just how to make it happen.  :)


First you open your hands really wide.

Next you swing them together as hard as you can.

And last you giggle when you make a sound.  So proud of himself.

He wakes up happy.

This kiddo and his crazy hair.   Even Rockstar doesn't know what to think of it.

He woke up like this and I had to take about a million pictures. 

What a little ham.

His complacent expression.

Trying to sit on the ball-it didn't work out so well for him.

But it's ok because he figured out that if he puts it against the wall he can lean on it-which is almost as good.   And he is so smug about his achievements.

And this-it's his new thing.  I guess he is just trying to get a new perspective on the world sometimes.

Ha-the popped collar.   Oh this baby.

And finally-rocking out.  He has great rhythm.   Well-not really but we won't tell him that.  :)

Serious about books

Check it-this is my serious face.

I'm serious about my books.

 I love my dad because he carries me.

I love my dad because he is big and strong.

Yep-that's about right baby boy.  :)  He loves this book and one day I hope he loves it because he realizes that it's all true.

Airplanes and boys

 Hey dad-what's that?

A remote control airplane?  COOL!!

Our street is a great launching pad for r/c airplanes.  Just enough of a hill for great take-offs and landings.  :)

 Up, up and away!

 Oooohhhhhh!

 Ahhhhhhhh!

Woah-it's gonna eat me!

 I'll protect you little man.

Dad-it took off again!  I see it!  Over theeeeeere!

Right there?

No-right there!

But then he was so nervous to touch it.  

But got over that mighty quickly.

And it took off again-just like that.  He was enthralled.

Battle of the sunglasses

 Hey mom-Unky Dave is asleep on the floor again.  Think I can steal his shades without him knowing?

Dang-he woke up.  On to plan B.

Go to sleep Unky, go to sleeeeeeeep....

And they're mine!  All mine!

 Sometimes Carter stirs when he sleeps....and he ends up like this.

Eating out

We went shopping near Cherry Creek one day and stopped to grab a bite to eat.  I love watching this kid eat.  He is quite good at it.  Food doesn't stand a chance.

He isn't the most gracious eater.  

And he gets distracted a lot.

 And loves it when his daddy distracts him.  :)

Abstract Carter

Here dad-mom is trying to cut my nails so I'm just going to get rid of these nail clippers in your salad.  Cool?
